Prime Seaside Letting

On behalf of local property investors, property consultancy, CLC Chartered Surveyors (CLC), has completed the letting of Ground Floor and Basement 510 Mumbles Road, Mumbles to National Coffee Shop operator, Costa Coffee.


Costa operates form in excess of 1050 outlets in the United Kingdom, making it the largest British chain in terms of stores.


The property was let on a 10 year lease term with a 6 year break option. The rent agreed was at the asking price but remains confidential between the parties.


Peter Loosmore, Partner at CLC, commented: "We acquired this property on behalf of clients in February this year from Enterprise Inns, when it was previously trading as the Nags Head Public House. It is a Mumbles landmark, highly visible when entering Mumbles but was not trading well as a Public House. Following the acquisition we put the property to a number of national operators and in principle agreed terms with Costa shortly after completion" "When you consider the location in a prime position at the heart of the Mumbles it is not surprising that a deal was agreed with a quality occupier such as Costa. We received interest from a number of other national occupiers but it was our opinion that Costa would suit this location the best and they would also bring something to the area which other occupiers potentially would not. I am sure Costa will trade well from this location throughout the years ahead."
